FULL MOON DAY/ PURNIMA DAY

Falls every month and is celebrated in remembrance and importance of Lord Buddha’s teachings. 

(Meditation is very beneficial during the full moon days.)

 

BUDDHA JAYANTI

Buddhist festival that marks Gautam Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death the Parinirvana.

Prayers are offered with the purest of feelings, to adopt the main aspects of Buddhism- peace, equality, and non-violence.

Other Activities-Meditation, dhamma discourse, art, kids storytelling, book reading, etc.

 

DR BABASAHEB AMBEDKAR JAYANTI: April 14th

A celebration that marks the birth anniversary of 

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, father of the Indian constitution and a great promoter of Buddhism and equality.

He was born on April 14th, 1891.

 

BMC ANNUAL CONGREGATION/FESTIVAL 

A day that marks that celebrates and demonstrates the various aspects of Buddhism & Buddhist culture. A delightful fest of music, art, food, artifacts, books, and exhibits for sale.

MAHAPARINIRVANA DAY: Dec 6th

Marks the demise of honorable 

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

He is considered to be an influential, pure, and blessed Buddhist guru,

because of his stature, intellect, and contributions towards justice and equality.

Hence the day of his death is observed as Mahaparinirvan day.
